What's included
Our IT support is a fixed monthly service. You don't get a bill for each call, so your staff don't hesitate to ask for help. In return, we take on the day-to-day running of your computers, accounts and network.
- Help desk: staff reach us by phone, email or a support portal. Password resets, new user setups, printer trouble, software installs and "my laptop is slow" are all covered.
- Remote monitoring: a small agent on each computer reports failing drives, full disks, missed updates and security alerts to us around the clock. Plenty of problems are fixed before anyone notices them.
- Patching: Windows, macOS, browsers and common business apps are updated on a schedule. Laptops that live at home get the same treatment, because the agent doesn't need the office network.
- Network care: we configure the firewall, switches and wireless access points, keep their firmware current and alert on faults, with guest and business traffic kept apart.
- Vendor calls: when the internet provider, copier company or practice software vendor needs to be chased, we make the call and follow through.
- New hires and departures: laptops ordered and set up before day one, and access removed the same day someone leaves.
- Quarterly planning: a short meeting on what we fixed, what's getting old and what to budget for next year.
Support for offices in the Perimeter towers
A lot of Dunwoody's office space is in multi-tenant buildings around Perimeter Mall, Ravinia and Park Center. Those buildings bring their own set of IT chores. The landlord's property manager controls access to the telecom room and the riser. New internet circuits need building approval and a scheduled install. After-hours work often needs a security escort or a certificate of insurance.
We handle that coordination for you. When you move suites, give back space or add a floor, we plan the network and cabling with the landlord's contractors, schedule the internet provider and move the equipment over a weekend so people come back to working desks on Monday.
Branch offices with a head office elsewhere
Many Perimeter offices belong to companies based in another city. The head office sets standards and runs the main systems, but nobody from corporate IT can be in Dunwoody on short notice. We can act as your local IT team: we look after the network closet and printers, set up desks and conference rooms, swap failed hardware and handle on-site fixes, all within the rules your corporate team sets. You get a local contact without changing how the rest of the company works.
Small practices and Village offices
The other side of Dunwoody is made of small businesses. ZIP 30338 alone has about 980 establishments with fewer than five employees. Think dental and therapy practices, CPA and law offices, insurance agencies and real estate teams near Dunwoody Village and Georgetown. These offices usually have no one whose job is IT. The owner or office manager ends up doing it, often badly and always at the expense of their real work.
For a five- or ten-person office, what we take off your plate is simple. One number to call. Computers that stay updated. A firewall that someone actually manages. A list of what you own, what it costs and when it needs replacing.
Home offices are part of the job
About a third of Dunwoody's working residents work from home, according to the Census Bureau's American Community Survey. For our clients, that means a home office is just another place we support. We can help pick and set up a decent router, sort out Wi-Fi dead spots in the house, put a business laptop on its own network away from game consoles and smart TVs, and make sure the printer works without exposing anything.
On-site when you need it
We fix the majority of requests over a remote session, usually during the same call. If a job needs someone physically there, one of our engineers heads down GA-400 from Alpharetta. Typical reasons include a failed switch, a new office layout, a conference room that won't connect, or a home office setup for an owner.
Questions about it support
Do our home workers need to bring laptops to the office for support?
No. Our monitoring and remote support tools work over any internet connection, so we can update, troubleshoot and secure a laptop wherever it is.
Can you help us move to a smaller suite?
Yes. We plan the network, cabling and internet install with your landlord, move the equipment and test everything before staff arrive. It's a good time to retire old hardware too.
